Welcome to MD Home Tutoring

MD Home Tutoring offers a reliable in-home tutoring service to school-aged students in the Sydney area. I am an experienced educator who has worked in many different capacities as a teacher because I love challenges and diversity. 

Currently, I work in a permanent part-time capacity as a school teacher to accommodate tutoring sessions throughout the week. As an educator, tutoring is a very rewarding experience for the following reasons:

direct and relevant teaching in home environments where distractions are limited;
the opportunity to identify gaps in learning and build on these using authentic learning activities;
constant one-to-one interactions, explanations and demonstrations that are not always possible in the classroom environment;
modelling of information literacy and ICT skills when using laptops (often not adequately addressed in schools due to lack of time);
tuition that goes beyond the curriculum by linking learning to everyday life.

Monday: 5:00–7:30pm
Tuesday: 5:30–8:00pm
Wednesday: 4:00–7:30pm
Thursday: 4:00–7:30pm
Friday: 4:00–7:30pm
Saturday: 9:30am–5:30pm
Sunday: 9:30am–5:30pm

Tutoring for home schooling students is available on certain weekdays. School holiday tutoring is available by request.

Rates
$70 per 45-minute session in local area
$90 per 1-hour session in local area*
$120 per 1.5-hour session in local area
$140 per 2-hour session within 20km from my home or workplace

*A discounted rate of $80 per hour is applicable when 10 x 1-hour sessions are prepaid for $800. Please contact me before making any payments.

When travel time to your home is over 30 minutes (return trip), only 2-hour sessions are available. However, 1-hour and 1.5-hour sessions are possible if I am already in your local area.
